UPDATED: Season's First Significant Snow Prompts Winter Weather Advisory for Livingston County

Southeast Michigan, including the Brighton and Hartland areas, could see one to four inches of snow.

Snow is now falling in Livingston County, forcing a winter weather advisory that's in place until 7 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

"The snow will end late tonight. However temperatures will drop below freezing by daybreak Wednesday and may potentially freeze standing water on the roads," the advisory said.

Total snowfall is expected to be between one and four inches, with the highest amounts expected north of the area in Saginaw and Shiawassee counties.
