Week in Review: City Bond Issue Explored, Mill Pond Memorial and Excelda Site Plan Approved
A summary of news for the week ending Jan. 8, 2012.
Here is what you might have missed in Brighton news this week:
- On Wednesday, we reported that Brighton City Manager Dana Foster was holding focus group meetings to determine whether city residents and business owners would support a bond issue on the November ballot.
- Also on Wednesday, we introduced you to one of the newest downtown Brighton businesses: Dolled Up Make-Up Studio & Lash Bar.
- Also on Wednesday, we reported that a jar of 300 pennies and a microphone headset were stolen from Faith Temple Church in Genoa Township.
- On Thursday, we told you about the Brighton Township residents who are trying to memorialize their daughter by installing a piece of her artwork as a fountain in Mill Pond Park.
- On Friday, we reported how Brighton City Council members approved the Excelda Manufacturing site plan at the former Chamber of Commerce location on Hyne Street.
