Library Raises Funds with Book Sale, Related Events

Brighton District Library highlights its upcoming semi-annual spring book sale with a member reception and silent auction fundraiser from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 and a members-only Dealer Appreciation Night from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 13.

The sale is open to the public Thursday, April 14 through Sunday, April 17. Thousands of donated books, audio books, CDs and VHS will be available at bargain prices.

Book sales and memberships are the main source of revenue for the Friends.  For the second year, the group has pledged more than $36,000 in support of programs, equipment, and events throughout the year. That amounts to triple what the library receives in direct support from the state of Michigan.
