Community Involvement

I serve as liaison to Brighton Area Fire Department and to the city’s Budget and Finance subcommittee.  I'm also a member of St. Patrick’s Church.

Why are you running?

I feel it is very important to contribute to the community in which one lives and to make it a great place to live and work.  My tenure on the City Council has allowed me to do that and I wish to continue in that roll and assist in making the City of Brighton even better than it already is.  During this tough time of economic conditions it is even more important that we maintain our quality of life while we have to make very tough financial decisions.  I believe my background in finances and management allows me to make wise decisions.

Are there any changes you wish to make?

I would like to see is to cut out some of the "red tape" in getting things done.  Although we must always follow the law, it is also important that common sense play a big role in decision-making.
