Brighton Area Schools Recognize Shining Stars

Students and staff members were awarded for achievements at the Board of Education Meeting Monday night.

The Brighton Area Schools Board of Education recognized several "Shining Stars," during its meeting Monday night.

Shining Star awards are given to students, staff and volunteers in recognition of achievement within the school district.

Bridge Alternative High School student James Tarahomi was also recognized for his Eagle Scout project. His leadership project involved cleaning up the former Tot Spot playground at the school and installing benches.

Brighton High School Choir Director Matt Brady and Brighton High School Musical Director Michelle Holowicki were the last to receive Shining Star awards
in recognition for their work, dedication and service to the musical education
program at Brighton High School. Also, to commend their hard work in producing one of the most successful high school musicals in the state and for sure the most successful in Brighton High School history.
