Brighton Schools Lays Off 10 More Teachers
A total of 21 teachers have been laid off this year.
Ten more teachers were laid off Monday night by the Brighton Area Schools Board of Education, according to a report from WHMI.
The article states that the move will help the district save money. The district is facing a $7.4 million deficit.
The move Monday will bring the total number of laid off teachers to 21.
"If the erosion in student numbers isn’t halted, the district will be looking at closing another school in a few years," WHMI states.
