Brighton High PSAT/NMSQT Registration

The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is a comprehensive assessment program that helps students prepare for the SAT, enter scholarship and recognition programs, plan for college and careers, receive information from colleges, and improve their academic skills. 

This test is being offered in the Brighton High School cafeteria from 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15. This is the only date the test will be administered at Brighton High School.

The test is recommended for juniors; these students will be considered for scholarships, including the National Merit Scholarship Program,  based on their scores.

However, 10th graders are also welcome to take the test but will not be considered for scholarships. 

These students must take the test again next year as a junior to meet scholarship entry requirements.

The cost of the test is $15. Cash or check, made out to “Brighton High School” will be accepted as payment.  Registration will take place in the Counseling Office at BHS. 

Registration for Brighton students will run through Oct. 14; registration will be opened to students from other districts beginning Oct. 10. Hartland has its test scheduled for Oct. 8 and no additional spots are available.

There are limited seats, so please register early to guarantee your spot!!  Students will receive additional information upon registration.
