Video: Hornung Elementary Principal Gets a Taste of Pie

One student from each grade won a raffle prize to participate in a pie-throwing contest during a school assembly Tuesday.

may have started a new tradition Tuesday — throwing pies at the principal, Sue Johnson.

The event started as a raffle prize for the school's book fair that was held last month, according to Laurie Louria, the fair's vice chair. Every student who spent $5 or more at the fair was given a raffle ticket.

Johnson graciously agreed to allow one student from each grade level, kindergarten through fourth grade, attempt to hit her in the face with a pie during a school assembly.
