The Bulldogs were swept in a doubleheader, 2-1 and 4-3, by Hartland, which maintained at least a share of first place in the Kensington Lakes Activities Association West Division.
"We didn't hit well enough to win," Brighton coach George Reck said. "That's what it came down to."

Senior Travis Cohoon hit a solo home run over the 324-foot mark in right field to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead in the first inning of the second game.
Hartand took a 2-1 lead in the top of the third, but Shane Dokey had a lead-off triple and scored on a sacrifice bunt by Tyler Pokorski to tie the game at 2-2.

Brighton took a 3-2 lead in the fourth on an RBI groundout by Doug Walters.
Senior Nolan McNulty kept the Bulldogs in the game in the top of the fifth when he caught a fly ball in right field and threw out Hartland's Travis Spears at home.
However, a two-run homer by Hartland's Jake Jessen in the sixth inning put the Eagles up 4-3 and they held on for the win.
Brighton (13-8, 7-4 West) plays a doubleheader at Pinckney Thursday.
