The wrestling team has nine competitors at the MHSAA individual state finals at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The tournament began Thursday morning and lasts through Saturday afternoon.

Here are the results for the Bulldogs for Thursday: Brighton’s Jackson Pizzo (112 pounds) lost to Detroit Catholic Central’s Malik Amine by decision, 13-6; Daniel Koenig (119) lost to Davison’s Matt Miller by decision, 10-7; Evan Hoshaw (125) lost to Rochester’s Kaelan Richards by decision, 4-1; Chris Brish (130) falls to Plymouth’s Alec Breckenridge by decision 5-2; Keith Kooperman (135) loses to Jacob Weissend of Carman-Ainsworth by decision, 8-1; Andrew White (152) lost to Rockford’s Austin Scogg by decision, 4-0; Brandon Hill (160) defeated Rochester High School’s Cody DeVoe by decision, 9-1; Vince Tkac (171) defeated Canton’s Braden Price by pin (4:42); and Kurt Alder (189) defeated Grand Haven’s Jerry Westerman by decision, 4-1.
