Ski teams from across the state will compete in the second annual Frosty 15K Freestyle Cross-Country Ski Race, part of the Michigan Cup Race Series, one of 22 held throughout Michigan and the only race south of Higgins Lake. There's also a 5K event for juniors, beginners or skiers who wish to race a shorter distance.
The race is open to anyone. The Frosty Freestyle is endorsed by the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports.
The registration fee includes lunch served at the park ski center. The race will be rescheduled if there is insufficient snow. Proceeds from the race will be donated to the Huron-Clinton Metroparks for cross-country skiing-related expenses.
