Brighton Halloween Events Plus More Tips for the Week Ahead

Here are five tips to help fuel your week in Brighton.

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Brighton to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Halloween Fun

The 3rd Annual Tridge-or-Treat Halloween Spooktacular at the Millpond takes place on Oct. 31 starting at 5:30 p.m.

2. At the library
The 7th Annual Teen Pumpkin Carving Contest takes place this week at the Brighton Library. Most creative design will win a $25 Target gift card. Pumpkins and carving tools provided. Ages 11-18.

3. For the little ones
Dress up your little one for some fall fun. Join Bloom Baby and Kids for a preschool-friendly Halloween themed day including games, crafts, treats and photo shoot with Janel Moon Photography.

4. In the community
The Humane Society of Livingston County invites the community to a Costume Party & Bake Sale on Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the shelter on Dorr Road. Games, face painting, arts & crafts, and giveaways and bring your dog(s) for a best dog in costume special prize.

5. Save the date
There will be a Road Information Open House on Tuesday, October 29 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Genoa Township Hall, 2911 Dorr Road. Township officials will be available to answer questions regarding the November 5 Genoa Township Road Millage.
