Brighton Fishing Derby And More This Weekend

1. Optimists Club Fishing Derby 

  • When: Saturday, June 8 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Where: Brighton Mill Pond
  • What: Kids 16 and under. Bring a bucket for the fish. Bait provided while supply lasts.  Entertainment, prizes, casting contest. Pizza for the kids at the end of the derby. For more info email: info@brightonoptimist.org .

2. Springfest at the Brighton Library

  • When: Sunday, June 9 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Where: Brighton District library
  • What: Enjoy magic with Colors the Clown and her petting farm, balloon art by Tim Thurman, magic by Jeff Wawrzaszek, free face painting and ice cream treats. All ages. Registration for Summer Reading Program available for ages 2 through adult. 

3. Country Family Barbecue at Brighton Rec Riding Stable

  • When: Friday, June 7 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Where: Brighton Rec Riding Stable
  • What: Fun for the entire family with a barbecue-type atmosphere complete with bonfire and s'mores, games, face painting, and pony rides will be provided for kids.
