Man Found Dead in Brighton Recreation Area Might Have Shot Himself, Police Say

Police say an autopsy will be performed to learn exact cause of death and identity.

A self-inflicted gunshot wound is the suspected cause of death for the body found at Brighton Recreation Area on Thursday morning.

Police say hikers, who were in the woods training their dogs, located the body of a 30-year-old white male around 11:30 a.m. in the area of Shafer and Brady Rd. in Genoa Township.

An autopsy will be performed to learn exact cause of death and identity, according to the report.
