Hawkins Elementary student jumps at the chance to raise money for a good cause.

School:
Accomplishment: Makenzi raised the most money of anyone at Hawkins for the recent American Heart Association fund raiser, Jump Rope for Heart. Her donation set a school record for the most donations brought in during the annual event, and she is just a Kindergartener!
Key to awesomeness: "I had a lot of people helping me raise it. I called people on the phone and emailed them. My sister, Kameryn, who is 4, even donated $2.50 of her own money. I also got donations from my Uncle Ben, Aunt Julie, Grandma and lots of other family and friends. When I received a donation I called them to thank them. I brought the donations to school and jumped rope. The money helps people with their hearts."
