Fundraiser to Feature Elvis & Jersey Boys Tributes
Supporters of Brighton youth baseball and softball to participate in fundraiser slated for Feb. 12.
Elvis will reenter the building this month to raise funds for the Brighton Youth Baseball Softball Program, a non-profit organization that sponsors youth travel teams and hosts summer tournaments that draw teams from all over Michigan and even Canada.
Proceeds will be used to build a new field behind Hornung Elementary and to maintain existing fields at Brighton High School, Maltby Intermediate, Scranton Elementary, and Hawkins Elementary.
The event, planned for Feb. 12, is being organized by two area parents—Sharon Tullar and Dave Falzetti. Both have sons who play on BYBSP teams.

Falzetti, whose stage name is Dave King, has performed in Las Vegas as an Elvis tribute artist. He and his 10-piece band, Motion, will also cover a set of Jersey Boys tunes at the fundraising event.
“It is a family event," said Tullar, who is a member of the BYBSP board. "It may be more appealing to people who like oldies or an Elvis fan, but all ages will find it entertaining and a lot fun.”

Ticket holders will have the chance to win a glossy photograph autographed by Detroit Tigers' All Star third baseman, Brandon Inge.
